Review of Pizzicato Pizza.Lake Oswego Oregon

Just like everyone else in the Northwest I love Pizza. So when a friend told me I could get away from commercial pizza and get a gourmet pizza right in my own neighborhood well I just gave in. Now a pizza even if I share it with a friend in my apartments is a lot of food. But I buy a large on eat two small pieces wrap it separately and put it in the freezer not as good as fresh but then it is there for me to pull out add a fresh salad and dinner is served. To their recommendation they now have whole wheat pizza crust, salad to die for, and gluten free pizza. We each had a cobb salad and it was so good. The prices are not to compare to Pizza Hut but neither is their Pizza. So like I said a friend told us about this good pizza he got. So my friend and I thought we would go get some. So four of us set out to find a pizza pie. Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza, 15180 SW Bangy Rd., Lake Oswego, OR 97035,(503) 670-8388. You can call ahead or go to their website and order. Which is nice if you want to take the pie home. But we were into eating out so we forged ahead for the long trip of about five moments to the restrauant. Everyone LOVED the Pizza and the service was perfect. That time we had a chicken pizza, a shrimp one and the best tasting vegetarian pizza ever! The service was attentive, not intrusive, friendly, fast, helpful. The dough is perfectly crisp. It is very tasty. The toppings are abundant, fresh and local as much as possible. The service is wonderful, the order exactly right, the toppings delicious and not over salted. We did not like the beer. I am no expert on beer and wine anyway as alcohol gives me headaches. So I had an Odols, however my friends said that the beer was poor so they would not have it again. But the pizza though not the healthy variety is good. The topping are fresh, as I said not salty or greesy. The waiters are wonderful I will go again. I only eat pizza about every other month or maybe every two months so this is not going to spoil my healthy diet. We checked out Yelp on this Pizza place lots of good reviews. Pork Chops, Sweet & Sour Green Beans, boiled potatoes, and Cole Slaw

This is one of those comfort foods handed down from my German Grandma. First you take four pork chops actually I like to use Pork steak and I can get by with one large pork steak. The reason I like pork steak is it is fattier and gives more flavor to the gravy and the meat. I brown the pork steak. I only use locally grown free range pork. I can't even fathom how people eat that other stuff that comes from those over crowded pig farms that pollute our streams and rivers. So I eat only locally grown meat. I adopt a pig early in the season. Then my farmer partner has it butchered for me at the end of the season. Anyway all the evils of how meat is raised now days is for another article. Now I am going to tell you how to make Pork steak with sweet and sour gravy and green beans. Served over boiled potatoes. I serve this with cole slaw. Lots of veggies and a little bit of meat. I never eat more meat then would fit in the palm of my hand. So when I am making these dishes for four I only use one pork steak. I brown the pork steak slowly in a nonstick pan with just spraying the pan with spam with olive oil. When the pork steak is browned on both sides I set it aside. I then brown a whole onion, in the drippings from the pork steak. I add one Cup of water, 1/4 Cup of vinegar, 1/2 Cup of white sugar. I add flour enough to thicken the gravy. Then I add 1 pound of fresh green beans. I cook all of this down to the point that the green beans are still crispy. While I am making the gravy I cook about four red potatoes by boiling them. When the gravy is ready I serve it over the boiled potatoes and with Pork steak I have been keeping warm. Ahead of time I made a cole slaw from red and green cabbage by shredding the cabbage and I take 1/4 C. of miracle whip add 2 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and a heaping Tablespoon of sugar for the dressing. Since I am a lots bigger veggie eater than meat all these vegetable really satisfy something deep inside for me. Grandma you really knew how to make comfort food. Next time I will share with you my Grandma potato pancakes. Judi Singleton is the owner operator of Bejewelu jewelry and clothing company come by and outfit the whole family for less
