Join us for WINE WEDNESDAYS & N'ORKAGE MONDAYS every week, excluding holidays. CLARKE'S has three banquet rooms that can be used individually for groups of 10-38 or in combination for seating up to 75. Featuring a full bar, outside courtyard dining, ample free parking, and ADA access. Clarke's was a quiet, intimate setting. I went with four friends and we all agreed that we found that the food was very tasty, fresh salads and really great, even exceptional entrees. my friends the house cocktails were tasty as well as the local wine was wonderful, however, we felt that the prices as a whole were higher than other restaurants of the same caliber. House made cocktails were 11.00 and most of the entrees were over 25.00. If you are looking for a quiet dinner with good food and don't mind spending a little extra, Clarke's would be a fine choice. We especially enjoyed the quiet atmosphere as we had not seen each other in quiet a while and wanted to visit. Might be a good place to have a holiday party with all the banquet rooms. Will I go back problably when I want a quiet dinner with friends. But it is spendy. Luckily I don't drink so I forgo the cocktail and wine prices. This restaurant is just around the corner from where I live I went to lunch with a friend like everyone else I talk to she loved it. The restaurant is packed all the time, but I did not like the food. I went just that once. The bakery is wonderful. I have brought things home from the bakery. However, I do not know what all the fuss is about. I thought the food was over priced and not really very good. My friend always wants to go there and to humor her I may go back, but it won't be for the food. Join our site and receive 15% off all during the month of October. The drinks I was told were marvelous and the wine drinkers said that the wine list was wonderful, I do not drink alcohol so I have to report on that second hand. . The food was so so and way pricey I felt. The view is nice of the lake. I would not go again if I were choosing as feel that the prices are way too high. I enjoyed being able to try it. Like I said everyone had good time and we tried most everything on the happy hour menu. I don't like to eat out anymore I guess as I do not know what they put in the food. I am sure a lot of this has, MSG, because MSG just knocks me out, better than any sleeping pill, and even though I ask for no MSG I still had the symptoms when I got home. When I come to this restaurant the only thing I would change is to add something (ceiling?) to absorb some of the noise. It gets so loud it is often difficult to hear the conversation at one's own table. Beyond that we have very much enjoyed coming here, particularly when we can eat outside, a beautiful view. reaction. I should just stay home and have a pot luck as then at least I canThis has been one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood for long time. However, this time it was a put down in different aspects. Our table server and the hostess were pretty rude, kind of disrespectful when we complained about some actions that we observed from the guys cooking (our table was right in front of the kitchen/cooking area). We were never referred to the restaurant manager neither received a comment that our complain was going to be submitted to upper management. Some of the guys cooking had beard uncovered and touching it while preparing food dishes. The special of the night was not available even when the server came to offer it. It was pretty disappointing this time. ask what is in it. In the restaurant's defense about prices they do offer a small plate which is all I can eat for a lot less. Review of Alexis Restaurant, Portland, Oregon

  1. I had friends in from out of town this weekend and we went to Alexis Restaurant, Portland, Oregon.  Nothing fancy here the inside of the tavern has high ceilings, the food is plain home made authentic Greek food. It is delicious.  Our friends loved it and I was so glad we chose to take them there instead of someplace fancier. We all had a great time went away stuffed. We all had a wonderful time. The server was friendly and efficient. The wait time was short. The place was packed but we did not have to wait for our food.  If you like Greek food and want to entertain friends I would recommend this to anyone. Take a look at their website for photos of the food, building and staff.

  3. The "extensive, mouthwatering" Hellenic menu including "a percentage of the best calamari around" is "as close to home Greek cooking  as it gets" and reasonably priced at this "made" Old Town diner run by a friendly and efficient staff; however "very little to take a gander at all things considered", the inside brags high roofs and a rural "Greek" feel – and the Friday and Saturday night belly dancing will keep you entertained.  My favorite is the souvlaki lamb with a greek salad and homemade greek bread
